Witchcraft School

What can we do better?

Witchcraft School

Postby Priestess Vala » Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:54 pm

Just a few questions.
I know the school in existence now is a generalized beginners approach to magic and witchcraft.
I also recognize that everyone here is very busy, and not all requests can be honored.
That being said, I think there are some of us who could benefit from specialized "class sessions". For example, I am not a beginner witch, but I have a lot of trouble with meditation/visualization, and short of harrassing you all with constant questions on the topic there's not much of a resource for getting a comprehensive instruction. I've thought about enrolling in the classes, and inquired into the classes when they were on *another website*. I was basically told that as a more experienced witch it wouldn't make much sense for me to enroll.

Any chance there can be seminars or a sort? Maybe even an informal area, where more experienced witches can teach each other skills at an in-depth level...? Would you just suggest enrolling? Or...(insert other options here)
Many thanks for your time
:bless:

Hmm. This bring up a good point.
There is one 4 lesson class on meditation and visualization, but it is the 3rd in the school.
It may be worth looking into options for the experienced witches that may need a brush up or refreshers. Thank you V, i'll get back to you on this.

Personally I think harrassing with questions too :D

I agree though, it sounds a good idea. I went to a witch event a couple of years ago now and they held workshops and gave talks on their specialist suject. Perhaps for certain things we could have a workshops area and people could post photo tutorials or the like :D

I coul see specialist courses such as "dragon magick and meditations" or "angel magick and meditations", "bringing faery into your spell work and ritual", or "crafting your chants and invocations" as being types of specialist courses. But we do offer meditation/visualization within the school if that is all you'd need. It is an interesting thing to mull over.
I know colleges and some high schools allow kids to scedule their own classes and pick which classes they want per semester. It mifght be an option similar to the school if we could make it work. AND ONLY for witches with experience. Or that personal credit with the forum (ie. who post, show us their personality)

If we had specialty courses, 'electives' if you would (Angel in magick, Incorporating ghosts', 'dealing with ghosts or harmful spirits', etc) what would you guys want?

Maybe some things specialized by path...
i like the idea of dragon, faery, and angel/demon electives
also potion brewing, astral travelling, past lives (all for those with some experience)...

this would be a good question to put out there where more people can see it, to really get some suggestions! maybe even a poll, if you have some set ideas..?

Don't start young lady :}
It took forever to get the school in order. Electives such as these may take some time.

Maybe you could like have the elective classes, say once a month and you pick the topic or even ask some of your experienced witches if they wouldn't mind holding a special class. Then you could post notice of sign ups for the class in advance.

And I think you did beautiful job and all your hard work is very much appreciated. Being open to suggestions and opinions for advancement of your school is an excellent idea, one in which will most likely bring about wonderful doors to open. Very brave, take any criticism with a grain of salt.

Yeah, not much activity going on.
For the very least we have some useful infos to incorporate into our personal practices.
However once there is a good chance to find tutors on more advanced topics, I'd go for
it. For sure. Being solitary all the time can be tough v.v
