Share your altars

This isn't my main altar. I made a second one to Bast to protect my home and cats.

This is mine...I don't have a God/Goddess Statue yet...but I'm a frugal person... I will likely make one from clay. I made the pentacle, the bell, the altar cloth and the wand.

I made a portable altar to take to the stream side with short legs, the parts you can get at home depot, then paint however you like, I did a giant sun in the center.

So I finally have an altar. I cleared off a bookshelf for my space. ^^ Thought I'd share it. It's done up specifically for Samhain, going to change it up after. But here we go :)

Image

The box on the left is my cat's ashes. Just seemed suitable. :) The picture on the left is my Great Grandmother and her Mother, on the right is my Grandma, at 3 different ages. I have a sprig of rosemary in the dish for rememberence.

That's the difference between Christians and Witches. Our way of life includes an altar and sacred space in our home because we seek constant affinity with Spirit and a portal to other dimensions where-as few Christians are serious about their one day a week practice and never establish a link to other worldly Divinities. The Gods are not interested in part time students not entirely devoted to achieving enlightenment.
