Prayers & Blessings for Pagan Kids
Bedtime Prayers

Day is done
It's time for bed
Goddess Bless my sleepy head.
Earth and Water
Air and Fire
Bring gentle dreams as I retire.
When the morning sun does rise
The God will bless my open eyes.

Now I lay me down to rest.
I pray that all the world be blest.
Lady Moon and Sister Star
Watch over me from afar.
Mother Earth is always there
And keeps me safe within her care.
The Lord of Dreams will dance and sing
And happy dreams will to me bring.
And when I wake to greet the day
Brother Sun will light my way.

A Faery Blessing

To the Faery Folk
High and low
Blessed Be and Blessed go.
In perfect love
In perfect trust
You may depart if you must
But pray, stay if you will
All aglow and Peace be still.

A Blessing for Pets

Fur and Feather and scale and skin:
Different without but the same within.
Strange of body but one of soul
Through all creatures are the Gods made whole.

These are beautiful! Certainly more uplifting and comforting than the threat of potential death in the traditional "Now I lay me down to sleep..."

JB, thank you for posting this. I'm going to share these with my son who always has trouble sleeping. :bless:

I claim authorship of the “Now I lay me down to rest” prayer which is a derivative work of multiple prayers that I found on the web many years ago when my children were asking to say bedtime prayers.
With much love, light and brightest blessings
